SCUBA Diving

Phuket is one of the worlds top 5 dive sites and rightly so. The waters surrounding the islands here are teeming with a huge variety of fish, even the graceful whale sharks appear regularly.
One can learn to dive at any number of schools on the island, many located right next to us in Chalong Bay.
Most companies offer a one day diving introduction course to find out if you like it or not. If you do you can get the basic divers license by doing a two day course.
The island has a mature and vibrant diving community and for those advanced divers, every other course you can think of is also available from a variety of globally recognised codes including BSAC.
You can also book trips to The Similan Islands and liveaboard trips to other destinations too.

PHUKET INFORMATION

What to bring?
Foods - Well tea bags of you are Brit, the tea here is not very good, bring us some too.
Clothing - we would advise you to bring one change of clothes with you and buy the rest here. Clothing is really cheap here so why blow your beer money on the same gear at treble the price in your home country.
Books - Phuket's book shops leave a lot to be desired and Bangkok is not much better.
Magazines - poor choice here and very expensive.
Drivers license - if you are planning on hiring a car for a day or two. This is a very good thing to do here by the way, the roads are good and we can arrange car hire from about B1,000 per day.

About credit Cards :
if you bring credit cards or debit cards, please let your bank
know prior to coming to Thailand.
If they do not know, they will block your cards when you try to take out money from ATM or card machine.

When to come?
February - if you are a sun lover or a romantic.
December and Jan - if you are party people, also Loy Kratong and The kings Cup Sailing Regatta (5th December).
April - its Songkran (11th - 14th) the worlds biggest water festival (fight)
August - the coolest of the dry months sandwiched between two monsoon seasons.
All other times - because its always fantastic here.
Must see/do
The Green Man Pub, Phuket Fantasea Show, Soi Bangla (nightlife) and Soi Katoey (Ladyboy Street), Snake Farm with show, Thai Boxing, (Tammachat) Natural Restaurant in Phuket Town, Thai Elvis (there are a few!) Eat Seafood in Rawai or Chalong and go on a elephant trek.
